Video

You have shot some home videos on your camera but you don't know what to do with them? Videos of special occasions - weddings, graduations, holidays?

We'll take your videos, edit out those strange shots of your feet, take out some of the camera shake, put in some nice titles and transitions, and even add music.

Then we'll burn them on a DVD printed with a shot from your video and present it to you in a DVD case with a printed cover insert, again using a still or two from your video.

Our recent video edits include:

May 2008
Conference highlights for the IT division of a major bank.

November 2008
Based on the success of the May 2008 video, highlights of a second conference for the same bank.

March 2009
We edited video footage and created slideshows from photos of the Black Saturday bushfires, as recorded by a resident of Wandong. We combined the video and slideshows on a DVD, then burned, printed and manufactured over 500 DVDs which were sold locally to raise money for the volunteer fire brigade.

We are unable to show samples of these videos on a web page due to confidentiality agreements covering the bank videos, and music copyright issues with the Black Saturday material. We are happy to show you these videos in person if you wish to start a serious discussion about your videos.

Pricing
No two videos are the same, however we will happily provide a fixed price quote after seeing your videos.

Indicative: Edit a 60 minute video tape to DVD. Includes cutting, transitions, camera shake reduction where possible, an attractive menu and titles, royalty-free backing music, design DVD and print, design case insert and print, and one draft review session with final edits. You get five printed DVDs in cases with custom printed DVD cover inserts. Price $500.

Extras: We can add slideshows from still photos to the same DVD (refer to the Photos page), and burn extra DVDs. We need to know about the slideshows (and get your photos!) before we finish editing the videos, and we will quote a fixed price based on the number and quality of the photos. We can accept orders for additional DVDs any time after we complete the final version of the DVD.

Format: We can no longer accept analogue videos - only digital. We can transfer your mini-DV tapes to our computer using our video equipment, but the best option is often to connect your camera to our laptop for the transfer (we know the tape will work in your camera!).
